As the much-anticipated formal dance approaches, excitement is building among the students. We took the opportunity to interview a few of our classmates to find out what dresses they plan to wear for the big night.
Walking through the halls, it’s clear that fashion is a hot topic. From vibrant colors to elegant designs, students are eager to showcase their personal style. Some are choosing to buy new dresses, while others are getting used gowns. The diversity in choices reflects the unique personalities and tastes of our student body.
To begin with, Olivia Boggan, a sophomore, told us about her very fancy dress ,“I am wearing a black strapless dress that is sparkly, and my favorite part, it has a big bow in the back.” Then she went on to explain why she picked it saying, “this dress really caught my eye, it was snatching and really cute.” Next Kelsi Britt, a junior told us about her dress “I am wearing a short blue sparkly dress” she went on to explain she had worn this dress last year and it made things a lot easier, “nobody seen me in this dress really, all the dress stores were basically sold out and it was too cute to not wear again,” Britt explained.
Next, Addy Taber, a sophomore said, “I chose a navy blue long sleeve dress. I picked it out because I found it really pretty!” Taber told us. Then Madi Collins, a junior, told us she is also using her dress from last year too, “I am wearing a short green sparkly dress, because I couldn’t find anything at the stores, and also because I am broke.” Lastly, Julia Daniels, a junior, told us “I am wearing a short yellow dress, I found this dress because I thought the color was so pretty!” Daniels explained.
Beyond just the dresses, students are also thinking about how to complete their looks with accessories, hairstyles, and makeup. Many are coordinating with friends or dates to make sure their outfits complement each other. The excitement is noticeable as everyone prepares for what promises to be a night to remember.
Each student has their own unique style and preferences, but one thing is clear, everyone is excited to dress up and make memories at the winter formal dance. Stay tuned for more updates and photos from the event!
