BMW has remodeled the 2025 BMW M5 and it is a hybrid. The 2025 BMW would also get a new redesign after 5 years from the old one, but the older resigns look amazing so I think it should have stayed the same. The BMW m5 has an electric motor and an engine but doing both of these adds an extra 1020 pounds over the previous model and it weighs 5,390 pounds. The new BMW M5 is a hybrid powertrain, with a 4.4litre twin turbo V8 with an electric motor producing 717 horsepower and that’s 100 horsepower jump from the previous generation M5.
As the BMW M5’s exterior got a redesign, the interior also got a massive jump compared to last generation. The new M5 provides you with a large dual display screen that looks slightly curved, also the ambient lighting is increased and has the BMW signature colors, (red, blue). The M5 also comes with a new steering wheel that looks amazing and there is carbon fiber throughout the whole car.
The BMW M5 with the help of the electric motor and the V8 it can reach a 0-60 of 3.4 seconds though this is slower than the previous generation which was 2.8-3.2, this is because of the major jump in weight. The new M5 weighs 1,000 more pounds than last gen but has 100 more horsepower, this makes it slower because of power to weight ratio.
My opinion about this car is neutral, i love the new redesign of the interior look of the new M5 but the exterior is not my type. Compared to the old M5 the old generation had a better exterior, but this new M5 has better interior. I don’t like that they made the M5 with a hybrid powertrain because this affected the speed and entire look of the car. Some people loved it, some people hated it but personally I disliked it because of the huge weight difference it added and so on.
Overall, the BMW M5 is an amazing car to some people but also isn’t for other people because of the fact it has a hybrid powertrain with an electric motor and a lot of people may not like electric. One of the main reasons for this is because of the weight; it weighs 1000 pounds more than the previous generation of the M5. Other people may like this car because it’s still a 4.4 liter v8 hybrid which makes 717 horsepower and it’s all wheel drive. In my opinion I still think the BMW M5 is amazing and still worth the hype, but comes with a heavy MSRP of $ 120,000- $130,000.
