Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we took the opportunity to interview several students at our school to find out how they plan to celebrate this special day. From romantic dates, to fun gatherings with friends, the responses were as diverse as they were heartwarming.
The excitement is visible as students eagerly discuss their plans. For many, Valentine’s Day is a time to express their feelings in unique and memorable ways. Some have been planning for weeks, ensuring every detail is perfect, while others prefer spontaneous and simple celebrations that still hold significant meaning.
To begin with, Ivan Rivera, a junior, explained, “I am going to go to my girlfriend’s house and we are going to bake cookies,” Rivera said. Next Olivia Piazza, a sophomore is doing things a little differently this Valentine’s Day, Piazza told us “I have a volleyball tournament this weekend so I won’t bet on getting to really celebrate Valentine’s but I will be with my teammates!” Piazza explained.
Then Julia Daniels, a junior, told us “my boyfriend and I are going to be together on Valentine’s day. We are going out to eat at Chick-fil-a!” Lastly Caleb Madrigal, a junior, told us he is going to take his girlfriend out on a nice date!
These plans highlight the different ways students at our school celebrate Valentine’s Day. Whether it’s a day filled with romance, self-care, or family traditions, the essence of the day remains the same, spreading love and joy.
It’s clear that Valentine’s Day means different things to different people at our school. Whether it’s a romantic evening, a fun time with friends, or a cozy family gathering, the spirit of love and togetherness shines through everyone’s plans.
