They are now into their second year at Basgiath war college and everyone expected the main character Violet to die last year, but she made it through. Now there are bigger issues for her to face, she is the first person to ever have two dragons, plus she is one of the weakest there and she is not strong enough to even ride one of her two dragons named Tarin. Tarin is also the mate to another dragon named Segal who’s rider is Xaden. Xaden is also her new love interest who would do anything to protect her. But the problems come when the dragons can’t bear to be away from each other while Xaden is out at another post far away from her. Violet’s other dragon is Andarna and she is still a baby and can’t stand the weight of a human for flight quite yet, so she is kinda just there in the way all the time. Xaden is also in charge of the rebels (kids whose parents fought on the enemys side of the last war) and they are slowly getting together to fight against the bad things growing outside of the school and possibly the school…

I really liked this book and I cried and HATED the ending because then I had to wait a year for the next book to be released and I didn’t want that to be the ending. And now that the third book is out I’m scared to read it from what I’ve seen of other people’s reactions. But i really did enjoy this book and I am excited to finally read Onyx Storm.
