Track running but also with a mix of strength is always fun as it includes lots of challenges for yourself and others. There are many things that track offers, like showing your ability to stride and push through events, or throwing challenges as you compete against other people. Which means only one will come out on top of other people as they showed how well they can push through.
For running events there are many of them since it’s mostly centered around running events. Running events include 800s, 400s, 200s, 100s, and many more as you race around the track. To sprints and long runs, too hurdles and pole vaulting. There are many events, one of them should have your attention either running or throwing. As you get better in your event you could even see improvement in your time or throwing distance, which is always great to see as you get better in the event you’re good.
Running events simply just test your endurance and your speed. Running events are also mostly the main thing in track as there are way more running events. For running events you have to push or be smart about how you pace yourself and how you finish strong when passing someone or are about to finish. A big part about track is endurance, endurance is how long you would initially run for and how long you can with getting tired. Running is the main part and it’s a test of skill and how smart you play with your pace.
Throwing events are simply a test of strength and form. While these don’t require running they are just as a challenge as running sports. While these do require a little bit of running like pole vaulting they all still have the same main part, Form. Form is the most important part of throwing since you have to get the most efficient throw in to make it long distance. Strength can also help you out on that as well. These both combined make up throwing events which is important to Track.
There are many events that offer different things. You just have to find the right ones that are for you. There’s something for anyone looking to do track and field.
