Bradley Thompson, aka Mr.Thompson, has been teaching for 46 years. Thompson inspired himself to become a teacher because of how much he loved to teach others. His favorite part about teaching is the relationships between his students, teachers, and staff. Thompson does not have a favorite lesson, as he stated, “I love it all, it is all my favorite.” He enjoys being a Choir and Drama teacher here at Hughson High as he loves getting to play around all day. If Thompson was not a teacher, he would find himself in a biological science career. Thompson’s goal for his students by the end of the school year is for his students to become interdependent and to work for the success of others. His way to adapt with students who have special needs is to figure out what their need is and to help them in any way possible.
Thompson does not have classroom discipline because he knows that his students can take care of themselves. His way to handle conflicts between students is to talk to them directly about the conflict. Thompson’s way to engage with students who are struggling is to have patience with them and re-teach them the lesson again. His plan of handling stress is to, “exercise, eat right, think positive, and have a good significant other.” Thompson does not have advice to become a teacher because he will instead start giving them direct teaching experience. He doesn’t have a favorite memory here at Hughson High because he loves all the memories here!
