On Sports inside we will go over the Hughson Huskies varsity softball team and their performance against the Atwater Falcons. The Hughson Huskies have started off their season pretty well. The girls swept Atwater 7-2. They came together as a team throughout the game and had the motivation from their coach and their teammates to keep going and win this game. The Huskies came back from a loss by Patterson (11-1). So they knew as a team they needed to come out and beat the Atwater Falcons. The Hughson Huskies are hoping that this season could be their season to come together as a team and beat everyone in League. Throughout the game against Atwater great defense behind the picture and had great bats when needed.
Summer Leshko said “I think we played to win the game not only for our coach but for us. Our coach graduated from Atawater and has never lost to them so we weren’t going to now.”
Grace Leedom said “We played for the girl next to us and we played as a team and I hope we keep that same energy going into the next games.”
Emma Carne said “We played together and had great energy throughout the game and kept a positive mindset and all the those things together gave us a great outcome for the game.”
