Freshman year of high school is such a unique experience it’s like stepping into a whole new world. For many It’s the first time they’re in a larger school with different classes, teachers, and a mix of older kids. It can feel a bit intimidating at first but it’s also super exciting!
Jossalyn Antis says, “Freshman year has been a struggle and it was hard getting used to new experiences. I’ve gotten blessed with finding new friends through sports. Even though Freshman year was hard it was a very fun experience being at a football game, Ag meetings, freshmen orientation and many other fun activities.I am very sad freshman year is ending since it was the beginning of high school but I am very excited to move up a grade and experience new teachers and electives.”
Being at High School can be a very good experience since You get to meet new friends and start figuring out what you like, whether it’s sports, music, art, or something else entirely. It’s a time for trying new things and discovering your interests. Plus, there’s all those fun events like homecoming, pep-rallies and school dances that make it memorable. Meeting new people from different schools in the district and expanding your hobbies.
Matthew Quillen states, “so far freshman year is very fun but it does get stressful, Having to deal with difficult teachers can be very stressful since most of the time they are very strict on late work or serving time to turn in other activities.”
But it can also come with its challenges. Balancing homework, extracurricular activities, and social life can be tough. It’s important to find a good routine and not be afraid to ask for help if you need it. every once in the same boat, and it’s totally normal to feel that lost sometimes. a lot of new things come to light.
I want freshman year to be the time of growth and change. It’s all about making new memories and figuring out who you are. you get to learn new skills, experience new sports and meet a lot of new people you also get to figure out what you might want to do in the future.
