After the two unfortunate losses that took place on Tuesday the team and I are ready to go to Twelve Bridges and get our win streak back. We can’t end the week with 3 loses so we will be looking to lock in against this pretty good Twelve Bridges team. We want to flush any doubt about if we’re good enough and do our best.
What an amazing game. We really needed this after the two losses to some trash teams that we should not have lost to. The whole team played very well and we definitely showed everyone that losing is a part of the game and we are not a team to be slept on. The pitching was outstanding and so was the defense with only 1 error in the game. The hitting was amazing as well everyone did their job and it ended up in he 8-4 win. No matter what happened the energy was high and nobody for a second let the foot off the gas.
After our two losses on Tuesday the whole team knew we had to have a bounce back game Saturday. So during the week at practice we worked on the little things that may have helped us pull out on top against those teams. On Saturday we play Twelve Bridges so we are looking forward to a good match-up between them.
On Saturday we started out hot in the first inning with our lead-off hitting a triple so it set us up to get the first run of the game. On the defensive side the team was making some good plays the whole game behind our starting pitcher Benji while he only gave up 2 runs in his 4 innings pitched. Our batting was hot the whole game supporting our pitcher with putting up 4 runs in the first 4 innings. In the 5th inning we had runners in places to score but they ended up making a good play to get out of the situation going into the bottom of the 5th 4-2 with the Huskies up. I had come close during the 5th and started off by getting the first out but then I left a pitch a little too over the plate and they took advantage of it and tied the game up with a 2 run home run. When we came up to the plate in the 6th inning we knew we needed to get some more runs so Lawson started us off with hitting a solo shot for us to take the lead and throughout the inning we put up another 3 runs to have a 8-4 lead. In the last 2 innings our defense was on lock down not allowing any more runs. We came out victorious at the end of the game.
