We switch our attention to Nick. After everyone fell through the floor, Nick tried to signal anyone on the radio but something was interfering with the signal. So he walks through the sandy caverns with a gun in his hands and cautious of his surroundings as he tries to regroup with the others. Nick sees something poking out of a rock. It looked like a monster with no eyes and as soon as it spotted him. It crawls away fast into the darkness of the cave. Nick manages to regroup with Jason. Nick and Jason are surprised to see ruins under the mountain of an ancient civilization. He saw this statue of a hand laying against the cavern walls with rays of sunlight shining through the ceiling of the caverns. Jason asks if Nick is okay because he looks a bit pale. Nick tells Jason what he saw and Jason denies what he saw and thought it was because of his trauma. Jason begins to doubt if Nick is even combat ready. 

They try to open one of the doors into the ruins. It was hard to open and looks like these doors were built to contain riots or something. As they are trying to open the door, They hear what sounds like one of their fellow soldiers in pain. Jessica, Eric’s assistant was there and was trying to help the soldier. Nick and Jason make it in time and they see one of their soldiers hanging from barbed wire after falling into the caverns. Jason and Nick cut the soldier down and attempt to stop the bleeding. As Jessica was coming over to help out, She was flung into the darkness. Nick and Jason both see this happen. 

They hear what sounds like screeching and clicking as if they’re going to attack. They drag the soldier in attempts to help him.  He was screaming in pain and was leading them right to them. They had to get morphine in him. Nick keeps his mouth shut as Jason searches his bag for the morphine. He finds the morphine and injects him with it. The creatures were following them so they had to move quickly or they would die. They tried hiding and saw one of the creatures up close and realized that they couldn’t see and saw one of their heads beating like a heart and they could only see using sound like bats. They had to be really quiet. They stood there for a while until they crawled or flew off. They get the soldier to safety and try hiding near one of the ruins of the caverns.
