This book is a thriller, about six friends who go on a road trip to go to a beach for spring break! Most of the kids in their class are going there but they mostly flew and got a hotel; not them tho! They all got together and rented an RV and went on a “short cut” through the woods but it ended up getting them in big trouble. They got stuck on the side of a hill with no phone service, and now weird things started happening around them. Now they are unsure who to trust.
I started this book one day on a weekend since I really liked Holly Jackson’s A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series! It was very entertaining, so I wanted to read all of her books! She only had the three out so when this one came out that day I went to Target to get it so I could start reading. It was okay in my opinion, I was expecting more of the funny but kinda spooky vibes that I got from her other books, but I did not get that from this one. It was more spooky the whole time and kinda graphic. I feel like this one she more pulled on the readers fear. It could have been the time and my mindset going into it that gave me the more uneasy feelings but who knows. I do plan to read her other books. I just haven’t done that yet!
