This book is a part of a series called “Disney Twisted Tales” where they are Disney stories but slightly off. This one is a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but the twist for it is what if belle’s mother was the one who cursed the beast? It keeps going back and forth between Belle and her fathers perspective and a little bit of her fathers is also in the past before Belle is even alive.
I think that these books are not really for me. I didn’t enjoy it but I also didn’t hate it. I did get very bored while reading it because it follows the movie a little too closely and it’s boring to read something that I already know everything about. However, it was cool to learn more about the Beast curse and more of the details behind how it works. Other than that I was bored reading it, and I would only recommend it to people who LOVE Beauty and the Beast.
