Aladdin is an animated film made in 1992 featuring voice actors Scott Weinger (Aladdin) and Linda Larkin (Jasmine) who voice the main characters in the film. The film follows Aladdin, an orphaned man who steals to eat, and eats to survive, who meets the princess but he doesn’t know it till later in the movie. As Jasmine, the princess of Agrabah, disguises herself as a commoner to roam the streets freely of her beloved kingdom, as her father doesn’t allow her outside the castle walls, she meets Aladdin in what seems to be a pop-up market. Later in the film Aladdin breaks into the castle as Jasmine had told him she was a maid for the princess to conceal her identity. Going to exit the castle after meeting Jasmine, he gets caught by the guards and meets the second to the sultan, Jafar. Jafar, the antagonist of the film, has been looking for someone. The diamond in the rough. Jafar has been spending his down time taking the homeless and poor people of Agrabah and sending them to a cave to retrieve a lamp. He has so far failed to find this diamond in the rough until he takes Aladdin after he captures him to this magic cave. He tells Aladdin that Jasmine isn’t a maid but the princess and tells him that he can give him a chance to be with her if he follows his direction. Aladdin makes it to the cave with only one thing on his mind. The Lamp. He realizes the lamp isn’t just a lamp, it’s a home of a very powerful genie. He befriends the lamp and uses it to his will. All his wishes contribute to help him become someone worthy of Princess Jasmine. The film overall is a very interesting fill. It appeals to many people, especially children. Some adults continue to watch this film as they think of it as a blast from the past. So that goes on to say that this movie is a movie children and adults wanting to go down memory lane can entertain themselves by watching this film.
