This book is the second book in a fantasy series called Carval, it starts off almost exactly after the first one but now a new game is going to be played and by the perspective of Donatella (Tella) but for the last few years she’s been sending letters back and forth with this mystery man who is going to hopefully find her mom and reunite them. But she needs to find Legends’ real identity and give it to this mystery man… but she ends up meets mystery man and he’s way more tied to it then she thought. So now she has to pick between her mom, her friends, sister, and this new mystery man. She can’t have it all no matter what she decides someone is going to get hurt by it.
I honestly didn’t like Caraval at all and I was a little sad since I’ve seen a lot on BookTok that other people really liked it and I really wanted to like it too and I really thought I was going to so I bought the box set of them all and I was really sad that I didn’t like it but I decided to give this one a chance and I’m very glad that I did. I really enjoyed this one. I read it all in like two days. It was very interesting and I kept wanting to read more and more of it. Tella is by far my favorite out of the sisters, and I did end up trying to read Final but I’m having a hard time getting into it. But overall I loved Legendary. Just seeing Tella truly care for other people and having her have to decide what’s going to be best for the most people was just really cool to see, mostly because they tried to paint her as a bad guy in the first one.
