Hughson High School’s ASB team is ready to take on the school year, bringing energy, ideas, and school spirit to campus. Each officer has their own goals and passions, but all share one thing in common: making a difference for the student body.
Story Johnson – ASB President
As president, Story Johnson hopes to do more around campus and make a real difference. She admits it can feel overwhelming at times during big events, but says, “as long as she has her friends, everything will be okay.” Story is especially excited for her senior prom and to help plan one of the biggest events of the year.
Sophia Aguiar – Executive Vice President
Sophomore Sophia Aguiar loves making an impact at Hughson High, both through her schoolwork and extracurricular activities. She admits balancing everything can be stressful, but it doesn’t stop her from putting in the effort. Homecoming is high on Sophia’s list of priorities, and she’s looking forward to helping make it a memorable event for the community.
Skylar Johnson – Spirit Commissioner
Sophomore Skylar Johnson is all about showing off her Husky Pride. She enjoys planning events and bringing energy to pep rallies. Stress comes and goes, but according to Skylar, it never really affects her. This year, she’s ready to bring plenty of spirit to every event she coordinates.
Maddy Bynum – Spirit Commissioner
As a spirit commissioner, Maddy plans the football game themes, the dance themes, and the dress-up day themes. “I love being involved in my school, and I especially love knowing things before everyone else does,” Maddy states. Maddy says the week before the event is always the most overwhelming part, preparing and making last touches to certain events is always nerve-racking. Regardless of the pressure, Maddy finds happiness in planning dances and is overjoyed about homecoming and how it turns out!
Estephanie Gutierrez – Social Media Manager
Junior Estephanie Gutierrez works to make school a positive place and inspire other students. She believes, “as long as you pull your own weight, it is very difficult to ever be overwhelmed.” She’s especially focused on fundraising this year and can’t wait to help organize events that benefit the school.
Marissa Beltran – ASB Treasurer
As treasurer, junior Marissa Beltran is excited to meet new people and help plan school events. She admits that things can get stressful if you don’t stay on top of your responsibilities, but she’s ready for the challenge. Marissa is most excited about planning dances and hopes they will be fun events that everyone can enjoy.
