All the iconic video games expected to come out in 2025–2026 will leave you ecstatic! Recently, there has been lots of talk on social media about what video games are expected to come out. With that talk, there have been various pieces of media that have been confirmed to make a sequel. Buckle up and prepare for excitement—we will be exploring what exciting games are set to be released, what they’re about, and when we’re expected to see these pieces of media published!
Silent Hill f
Let’s start off with the video games that people are dying to play! To start this list off, I will be talking about the most exciting horror game to be expected this month, Silent Hill f! According to Games Radar and PlayStation, Silent Hill f is expected to be released on September 25th of this year.
The setting will take place in 1960’s Japan, and you will be playing as a female student named Hinako. The game will be different from the Silent Hill games we are used to, as we will be looking away from the American culture shown in previous games. Alongside this, there will also be a revival of melee combat. The game is expected to be a survival horror game with elements of psychological horror as you fight against monsters.
Where can you play this game? Silent Hill f will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, but it is unknown if this game will be added to Switch. Interested in the game? A trailer has been released—check it out for yourself and immerse yourself in the horror that’s to come! As of now, people are able to pre-order the game on Amazon and Best Buy storefronts for $69.99.
Little Nightmares 3
Another iconic game that’s coming out this year is Little Nightmares 3! This game made a big boom during quarantine and quickly captivated players. Now, bringing back that nostalgia, Little Nightmares 3 will be released on October 10th, 2025.
What’s to be expected of the game? Little Nightmares 3 will be giving us new protagonists, Low and Alone. The two children meet in a “lonely nightmare” and have to work together to escape the Spiral (multiple scary places) in order to survive as they explore the delightfully horrifying setting of the game. Confirmed locations in the game include a candy factory, a funfair known as “Carnevale,” and more!
The game will keep its classic “puzzle game” theme while providing dangerously scary monsters and bosses to fight. Unlike the previous games, Little Nightmares 3 will provide a twist to the last two games—online co-op!
Where can you play this game? Little Nightmares 3 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and Switch 2. The Standard Edition will be available to preorder for $39.99. The Digital Deluxe Version (which includes the Secrets of the Spiral Expansion Pass and Resident Costume Pack) will be available for $59.99.
Resident Evil Requiem
Resident Evil Requiem will be the ninth game in the Resident Evil franchise! A trailer for the game came out during this year’s Summer Fest, giving us a sneak peek of what’s to be expected.
The game will take place in the year 2028, and our protagonist will be Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who is recognized as the protagonist of Resident Evil Outbreak. Not much else is known about the game as of now, but it is expected to be released on February 27, 2026.
No pre-orders are available yet, but the official Capcom website confirmed that the game will be available to play on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Final Thoughts
With all that being said, it’s clear that the video game community will be in a jubilant uproar as some of the most beloved series push out new games for the community to play. Will the games be as good as speculated? Will they stray away from what we’re used to and give us exciting new gameplay, or will they stick to what we know and love? The only way we can know for sure is if we keep our eyes out for when the games are released.
