On the JV football team, one player who stands out is middle linebacker Brice Rucker and we got the chance to hear more about him. Rucker says he started playing football when he was about six or seven years old. When asked about which position carries the most responsibility in football, he said, “quarterback and outside linebacker.”
He was also asked if he went pro, would he play offense or defense? He replied, “Defense.” Interestingly, while Rucker plays football, he doesn’t actually watch it. Football has always been his favorite sport, and he’s even played for other schools in the past.
We also got the chance to hear from some of his teammates. One of them, Elliot Burbank, said, “He has good tackling and defence.” Burbank also added that Rucker contributes well to the team. Another teammate, Matthew Madrigal, said that Rucker could play both football and wrestling with his aggressiveness and pointed out the fact that he is a strong leader.
