Meet the ASB Leadership – Senior Class Officers
Nevaeh Rodriguez – Senior Class President
When asked why she wanted to join leadership, Rodriguez responded with, “I just wanted to do something new and different.” She admits that at times it can feel overwhelming and nerve-racking, especially with such high expectations as senior president. Despite being held to a high standard, she finds it to be an amazing opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
Bella Hall – Senior Vice President
From the outside, planning school events may seem easy, but Hall says it’s rarely appreciated how much hard work is required. “I would always think, oh, they could always do better, but now that I’m the one actually doing it, it is a lot of pressure.” One of Hall’s most nerve-racking responsibilities is making calls to request donations for projects. As she looks toward her senior year, Hall hopes to go out with a bang. She is especially excited to help plan her last prom and make sure it gives students the experience they want.
Kevin Ochoa – Treasurer
“Being behind the scenes and seeing how fellow classmates can make a difference in the school is a great experience.” Homecoming is one of the biggest events of the year, and it’s one Ochoa is excited to help plan. He admits he is worried about the floats not living up to people’s expectations, but with teamwork, he believes they can make it happen. Ochoa is a vital member of the leadership class, where he works to make a positive impact on students at Hughson High School.
Aylin Ruiz – Public Relations
Ruiz enjoys interacting with her classmates in leadership and building new connections. “I love seeing how everything comes together and what teamwork can help us achieve,” Ruiz states. Still, she admits that leadership isn’t always easy—especially when planning big events. Ruiz explains that it can feel overwhelming to pull everything together on time. Regardless of the challenges, she believes their efforts will reach the high expectations of both students and the community.
