Plenty of people spend their weekends sitting on a couch, playing video games, and not doing much with their time. Some may feel like there just isn’t anything interesting to do outside. In this article, I will tell you about some of the exciting events going on this weekend in your area. Go alone, bring a friend along, or have a fun day out with your family! You’re guaranteed to have fun no matter who you bring with you!
Starting off with the first event, there is a Board Games Day available! Do you enjoy chess or checkers? Want an event to go to where you can put your intelligence to the test? Then this event is perfect for you! The event will be held at Hilmar Library in Merced on September 20th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Much like the last event, there is also a family games and puzzle event going on located at the Delhi Library in Delhi on September 20th, 2025. From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, come along and enjoy the fun as you complete puzzles and indulge in the games. This event serves as a great opportunity to spend quality time with your friends and family. As a recommendation, go ahead and have lunch outside at Delhi Park and enjoy the view, located next to the Delhi Library.
Want something with a little less logic and a lot more art? Visit Modesto Junior College at the Performing and Media Arts Center, Main Auditorium, to watch the amazing dance performance Jam n Jive this Saturday, starting at 2:00 PM! There will be plenty of guest schools attending and performing alongside local dance companies! General admission will cost $15 while admissions for students and seniors will be $12. Order your tickets online at mjc.tix.com, over the phone by calling (209) 575-6081, at the door, 90 minutes prior to the show, or in-person at the School of Arts, Performance, and Humanities Office in PAC 205. With a dance performance by so many hardworkers, all you performing art enthusiasts will surely enjoy this event.
Many people already have a church that they go to every Sunday, but some people might be too shy to visit a church in their hometown. Others might want to go somewhere new, and some might just want to meet new people in the same community as them. If you’re one of those people, or are curious, then Almond Grove Worship Service is for you! The worship service will take place on September 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be sermons and music! People will be separated into groups based on age. The service will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 4300 Dale Rd, Modesto, CA. Weekends can often be uneventful, leaving people feeling dissatisfied with their break.
