Hughson High School’s Junior Varsity football team faced the undefeated Ripon Christian Knights on Sept 26, 2025. The Huskies battled hard, finishing with a close score of 35-29. From the first kickoff, the Huskies knew it was going to be a tough game against Ripon Christian, but they fought hard until the end. While this is a Junior Varsity team with mostly sophomores, a significant number of freshmen have also made a big impact.
Even though the Huskies gave it their all, there are still areas they want to improve. Copper Leedom said, “We need to watch more film.” By reviewing game footage, the Huskies can improve their performance and aim to beat Ripon Christian next time. Chase Muirhead added, “We will definitely beat them next time.”
Despite the loss, there were several standout performances, key tackles, and overall strong efforts from the team. As the Huskies look ahead, they are turning their attention toward their next challenge: a matchup against Escalon next week.
