Husky in the Hot Seat: Benjamin Lighthall

Jonathan Lowell Anderson, Staff Reporter

Jonathan L. Anderson: What is your name?

Benjamin Lighthall: Ben Lighthall

Jonathan L. Anderson:  What grade are you in?

Benjamin Lighthall: Ninth Grade

Jonathan L. Anderson: What was your first thought when you heard about the campfire?

Benjamin Lighthall: Well… No one knew what was going on at the time, It’s not like I saw it on the news, and then I evacuated. You could hear it outside, and the sky looked like it was on fire, that’s how we knew to evacuate.

Jonathan L. Anderson: How did you think your freshman year would turn out?

Benjamin Lighthall: I honestly thought the world would end by now… So believe it or not, I actually expected a kind of weird year, I just didn’t know what was going to happen to make it a weird year.

Jonathan L. Anderson: BYU or Utah State?

Benjamin Lighthall: I don’t really care where I go to college, so long as it suits my needs… (has all the classes I want, and has good housing.)

Jonathan L. Anderson: If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Benjamin Lighthall: To be happy all of the time. If you think about it, that’s what people are trying to achieve when they want a specific super power, cause they think it will make them the most happy out of all the other superpowers. But if being happy all the time doesn’t count, then I would definitely pick being able to go back in time. This way, I always get 100% on the tests, and I would pretty much be a billionaire, cause I would always outperform the stock market.

Jonathan L. Anderson: What is your favorite video game?

Benjamin Lighthall: SKYRIM. I didn’t know about RPG games. (role playing games) until I found skyrim. #best game in the world right now. (at least until elder scrolls six comes out)

Jonathan L. Anderson: What is your favorite memory playing that game?

Benjamin Lighthall: I have two. One was when I first started playing the game. Greatest video game opening of all time, and the second is when, about 230 hrs. After playing the game, it finally started to get a little boring. And my wife got kidnapped in that same moment, so that was super fun and interesting.

Jonathan L. Anderson: What are your favorite sports?

Benjamin Lighthall: Soccer, Basketball, and football. Football is probably my favorite right now though.

Jonathan L. Anderson: Do you play any sports for Hughson High?

Benjamin Lighthall: I play football, and am playing basketball whenever it pops up in the school year.

Jonathan L. Anderson: What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Benjamin Lighthall: I like playing basketball, and doing art. My favorite is the bob ross technique, oil painting. Although I do really enjoy digital art.

Jonathan L. Anderson; Who is your favorite teacher?

Benjamin Lighthall: I have no idea. I haven’t got to spend a lot of time with any of them in person.

Jonathan L. Anderson: What is it like having your dad as your Principal?

Benjamin Lighthall: It doesn’t make a difference at all. Although it is nice to have all the teachers know your name.
