Elizabeth Mendoza: What’s your name and what do you teach?

Mr.Michaelis: Paul Michaelis and I teach Math and Academic Decathlon

Elizabeth Mendoza:What made you want to teach that subject/class?

Mr. Michaelis: I teach both Math and AcaDec because I enjoy them.

Elizabeth Mendoza:What made you want to teach at HHS? 

Mr. Michaelis: HHS is a good school.  I like small to medium sized schools.  In some ways HHS reminds me of my high school.

Elizabeth Mendoza:What do you love most about teaching?

Mr.Michaelis: The students are what I enjoy most about teaching.  When you can see that you just taught a student something, it’s an amazing experience.

Elizabeth Mendoza:If you could change anything about the school what would it be?

Mr. Michaelis: I think the school is fine the way that it is.

Elizabeth Mendoza:What is one piece of advice that you were given that has always stuck with you or a piece of advice that you always go by or live by?

Mr.Michaels: Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.
