Alberto Rodriguez is one of Hughson’s newest additions to the Staff. Alberto attended The University of the Pacific, Stan State, and UC Irvine. Alberto is a Chemistry teacher who has been teaching for 15 years. His reason for becoming teaching chemistry is because it “Blends in with other subjects, like it incorporates English, Math and Critical Thinking” Alberto stated. Alberto said ¨I chose to teach chemistry because it never feels like teaching, it’s fun.” He chose to move over to Hughson because his kids attend the elementary school. He says his biggest mentor and influencer in life are his parents. His hobbies are sports and travel and in his free time he enjoys reading to his kids. His favorite movie is all of The Rocky movies. “My music taste is kind of everything.” said Alberto. His favorite foods are pizza, tacos, and sushi. If he wasn’t teaching he says he would be, “Sitting on a beach somewhere drinking an adult beverage.”  When he was asked, what is one piece of advice you wish every student knew or that you would tell all your students, he replied with “That it is ok to fail, especially in school because it helps you grow.”
