Hughson High School had its annual Homecoming Parade on Friday September 23, 2022. Apart of tradition Hughson chooses a person to be Grand Marshal and lead our parade and festivities around town each year. 

To be chosen as a Grand Marshal you need to have been a part of the school and community, be a kind person, a leader and loved by many. All of these traits perfectly fit our loving janitor J Dean Barns. 

Mr. Barnes has worked for the Hughson school district for 39 years and has worked for Hughson High School since 2016. 

Reacting to being nominated as this year’s grand marshal, Barnes said, “It feels good, and I feel great about being our grand marshall. It was one of the best moments of my life when being asked.”
