Husky Varsity Volleyball Takes Game One of Playoffs
October 27, 2022
Our huskies came to deffend their territory and bring the win home.
Huskies and Wolves battled it on the court to win the first set. 25-19 huskies finish it off and take the win. Student section roaring band up on their feet, parents shaking in their seats, players won’t take the defeat. Emily Yardbrough she’s got heat comes in hard ready to play she is not gonna let anybody get in her way. Makenah Phillips she’s got those hands she’s gonna get this block so don’t go and talk your talk. And that is the end of the first set!
It’s not over yet, here comes the second set. Huskies take the win again 25-14 wolves won’t be able to take it again. Huskies started off strong kills from left to right and got the wolves to cry all night. Maddie Duron comes in strong, she gets some great hits and kills but couldn’t do it without Ashtin Brazil the setter. Ashtin was on her game tonight. Those hands were ready for the ball to come her way. And there goes the second set.
The huskies were ready to finish it off and they did so 25-8 they were shown the wolves where they didn’t belong. No longer the wolves in this pack, we call them the puppies now! The girls truly showed what it looks like to be a team and why they made it to the playoffs. After 17 years of not making it to the second round of playoffs the girls broke that streak and conquered hard. This is why huskies never give up. Taking the wolves back to their den where they belong.
