Pondering Thoughts With Martin Ochoa
March 27, 2023
On this week’s edition of Pondering Thoughts we’re going to be going through natural disasters throughout history.
The Lisbon earthquake of 1755 was probably the first natural disaster that shaped the viewpoint of natural and geophysical phenomena as the agents responsible for a natural disaster.
The most famous were Yangtze River Flood (1931), Haitian earthquake (2010), Typhoon nina-banqiao dam failure (1975), and Kashmir earthquake (2001).
I think it’s important to reiterate the importance of rebuilding after such disasters and helping out if you can. Most of these countries have rebuilt, For example after hurricane katrina there were many refugees that flooded into the football fields.
Thank you for reading this weeks segment of Pondering Thoughts.
