During the week before Spring Break, FFA organized what they called the Kiss the Calf Fundraiser. With this fundraiser, if teachers and staff were okay with it, they got a container where students could put money in and whoever has the most money in their container had to kiss the calf at the next FFA Meeting, which happened to be the Officer Election MeetingA. At the end of the fundraiser, Shawn Jacobs, Hughson High attendance clerk, had the most money, $50, in his container, so he was the one who had to kiss the calf. Knowing this, a lot more students attended the meeting than normal. In total, this fundraiser collected a total of $324 that will go to the FFA Account that supports student events and FFA Meetings.
