Friday, August 25th, the JV Hughson football team played Central Valley on their home field. Hughson won 21-7. It was the Hughson Huskies second game of the season, and they started the season with two wins. The Hughson Huskies JV team came out and showed everyone that they wanted to win. The Huskies defense was unmatched and carried their team throughout the game. The Hughson players felt they had an advantage being on their own field. According to Marshall Dayton, the Hughson Huskies JV quarterback, “the game went well, we won 21-7.” When asked if there was room for improvement Marshal said, “we need to work on catching and leading the wide receivers more.”
Starting slot receiver Karsen Moore thought, “we got a big win 21-7, they were not that good.” However, Karsen thought the team could “do some work on finishing the end of the game harder.”
The atmosphere of the student section for the Hughson Huskies was roaring, with people dressed up in red, white, and blue. Everyone was up on their feet while the band played a good beat. The Students were ready for the Huskies to defeat Central Valley!
