Friday, September 1st, the Hughson Huskies JV football team played Pitman on Turlock’s home field. The Hughson Huskies team won 14-13, it was their third game of the season.
The Hughson Huskies JV team came out and showed everyone that they wanted this win. The Huskies defense was unmatched and carried their team throughout the game. The football players were very excited to be playing such a great team so early on in the season.
According to the quarterback coach, Rich Berdion, “as a team we need to execute our plays, our line needs to push more on pulls to allow our quarterback more time in the pocket to make the right passes.”
The Hughson Huskies starting defensive tackle, Luke Berdion, says “Our defense is really strong but our offense got blown up, we need more people rotating at quarterback and to be getting better throws.”
