Powderpuff is a very fun and exciting tradition here at HHS. Powderpuff gives girls the chance to step into the shoes of the football players while the boys get to experience being the spirit of Hughson High School. On Friday the 22nd, the Hughson Huskies Junior and Senior girls are going head to head.  The girls get to discuss strategy whereas the boys rehearse a half time show. The boys will be wearing cheer leading uniforms to contribute to the powderpuff game and the girls will be wearing jerseys with numbers.

Savannah Fuller who is a junior this year said, “I think the juniors are gonna win”.

While being a part of the game this year Fuller is most looking forward to “Just have fun and bond with my class.” 

Another student who is participating in the exciting game this year is Ben Boots. Boots is a senior this year participating in the game for the first time. “Doing it with my friends,” is what he’s looking forward to most at the game.

For students here in Hughson, the powderpuff game is an activity highly anticipated at the start of every school year. Powderpuff will continue to be a fun activity that seniors and juniors can participate in, especially for seniors that will be able to bond before they graduate from HHS. This is just another year of many to come for this exciting tradition at Hughson High School.
