The following is an interview between Staff Writer, Helen Husky and Hughson High senior, Monica Yup.

Helen Husky: When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

Monica Yup: I like to hang out with my friends. (not Emily Jimenez, as of today ;))

Helen Husky: What’s your favorite TV show?

Monica Yup: Umm, I think it’s Bones right now.

Helen Husky: What’s your dream job?

Monica Yup: My dream job is to work with National Geographic.

Helen Husky: What’s one thing you’re excited about that’s coming up this school year?

Monica Yup: I am definitely excited for graduation, but I’m also pretty excited for Academic Decathlon competition in March.

Helen Husky: What’s your hidden talent?

Monica Yup: I honestly have no idea. I don’t even think I have any talents. Some people have told me that it’s drawing, but I’m not sure.

Helen Husky: If someone were to play you in a movie, who would you want it to be?

Monica Yup: I guess I would like it to be Nicole Polizzi, a.k.a Snooki, just because she is a short Latina, just like me.

Helen Husky: If you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes, whose would they be? Why?

Monica Yup: I would choose Tom Hiddleston. He seems like a super nice guy and it would be nice to experience his way of living.

Helen Husky: If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

Monica Yup: I think I would still sleep. I honestly love sleeping so much, naps are my favorite thing in the world.

Helen Husky: If you had to choose only 2 adjectives to describe yourself, which would you choose?

Monica Yup: They would be sarcastic and sassy.

Helen Husky: What would you sing at Karaoke night?

Monica Yup: I am way too shy to go up there, so I don’t think there’s any song that anyone can make me sing in front of people.

Helen Husky: Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job? And why?

Monica Yup: I would rather have the perfect job because it would give meaning to my life. Also, lottery money is treated like regular income, so I would have to pay taxes for it. No thanks.

Helen Husky: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Monica Yup: I see myself working at a place that I probably like and working on my Master’s degree.

Helen Husky: What’s your favorite zoo animal?

Monica Yup: It would probably be a tiger. They’re so big and cute and majestic.

Helen Husky: What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?

Monica Yup: I would take a salt water filter so I can get water from the sea. I would also take a backpack filled with weapons and another backpack with extra clothes.

Helen Husky: For what are you most grateful today?

Monica Yup: I think I’m grateful for finally getting 8 hours of sleep and of course my friends and their support.
