The teacher of the month chosen this month is Spanish teacher Mr.Castillo. He is a very positive and influential teacher. He believes it is extremely important to be a good role model. He stated, “When we take on this responsibility as a teacher that’s part of what we are signing up for and we have a duty as a teacher. A responsibility to our students and the community to try to set a good example, and guide you guys the best we can.”
Mr. Castillo has personally shown his students that they can pursue and succeed at anything they put their minds to. He is proud to have won the teacher of the month award, but he believes that being a good teacher isn’t about winning any award. He enjoys being able to share his culture and language, and just being there for his students and helping them in any way is enough.
