One of the top performers of the game was Max Mankins. The defensive end had two tackles for loss and three total tackles. Mankins also had two sacks and two quarterback hurries. The junior said, “I felt excited to get to go play another game and was hoping the team was ready.” He also said, “I was thinking we got off to a slow start and needed to pick it up a little.” The junior said, “I was thinking after the first half that we played better than before but still needed to finish the game. Mankins also said, “I thought my performance was good but I always need to work to get better.” He also said, “I think our performance got better throughout the night.” Max said, “I’m excited to go play a really good team next week.”
Another one of the top performers of last week’s games was Robert McDaniel. As he threw for a total of 3 passing touchdowns before halftime. Although Robert does say “I feel that there is always improvement that needs to be done after a game but I think we played good as a team”. Also next week being rivalry week against Escalon High School Robert was asked how he feels going into it and this is what he had to say, “I feel great going into rivalry week the boys and I are ready after a great week of practice and next week too.” Robert also talks about how this game does not put that much pressure on him as he said “I don’t think it does, i like to tell myself that it’s just another game that i’m going to have fun in.” McDaniel also talked about how he prepares mentally and physically saying “ Some things I like to do is put my headphones in and relax and just focus on my surroundings and make sure I get my good stretch in before the game and then I’m ready to rock.
