Congratulations to Max Mankins for being HHS’s male athlete of the week. Max is a junior at HHS and has been involved in sports since he was a Freshman. Max is a great football player, joining the Varsity team early on in his Freshman year because of his skill. Max is able to focus on football and apply himself while also bringing up his teammates. We’ve heard nothing but positive things about who he is as a teammate, student, and overall athlete. Congratulations Max! Hughson High can not wait to see where the rest of your high school career takes you!
Congratulations to Madison Duron for being HHS’s female athlete of the week. Madison has been recognized for being a star athlete on any team she is on, she’s known for her leadership skills and commitment to the team. Madi is a phenomenal athlete in many different ways; she’s a leader, a hard worker, a team player, etc. Hughson loves watching Madi plays as she is one of Hughson’s best female athletes. Madi is involved with volleyball, basketball, and track which she impresses us in each of those sports. Madison’s response is, “I’m excited and I’m happy my hard work is paying off. Madison is a great student athlete as we can see in her grades, she has great time management as she is able to balance school and sports. Friend and Teammate Abby Ramsey says, “She has a great work ethic and is always working hard!” Thank you Madi for being an amazing example of what a student athlete should look like. Congratulations Madison, we can’t wait to see where your senior year takes you!
