Mia Mateo is a 16-year-old sophomore at Hughson High School. This is her first year in journalism as a staff writer. She enjoys playing her two high school sports: varsity golf and varsity tennis. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the movies, or spending time at the lake. Beach and lake day vacations with her family will always be her favorite. She is excited to continue journalism throughout her high school career.
