Riley Vance is a first-year staff writer in Hughson High School’s journalism class. She is a sophomore and is passionate about all things related to writing. In 2024, she won the Stanislaus County Speech Contest and is also an honors student. Outside of school, she enjoys creative projects and leads a small group of students who are working with her to create a video game. When she isn’t working on that, she can usually be found relaxing at home or spending time with those closest to her. Despite her laid-back attitude and love of creative freedom, she is dedicated to her schoolwork, always striving to improve and challenge herself. Riley hopes that with her love for writing and her experience creating stories, she will be able to capture the audience and write captivating stories for people to read.
