In this article, I am going to sum up the school year in a collage of songs. Most of it is going to be in the hip hop genre and heavily biased.

August : Long Time by Playboi Carti; I chose this song because of its nostalgia and how it has been a long time since we’ve been at school.

September : Calligraphy by Saba; I think this represents September because we are mostly focused on our grades at this point, or mostly writing on our work, homework, or essays.

October : Potholderz by MF Doom (Featuring Count Bass D); I chose MF Doom’s song since October had that funky feeling, and especially with Halloween around the corner.

November : Angelz (Cold Blooded Soul Version) by Denzel Curry; I chose Angelz since November is a perfect representation of the lyrics in the song.

December : Sleigh by Smino (Featuring Monte Booker and Masego); I chose this one since nobody is really thinking about school in December, only Christmas, holidays and the winter break.

January : Sorry Not Sorry by Tyler The Creator; Sorry Not Sorry is perfect because January is the best month, and this track is the best song off of this album.

February : Million Dollar Baby by Tommy Richman; This is the perfect February song for me since this is when school started to get more exciting.

March : So It Goes by Mac Miller; I chose this because March all went by, kind of like a blur. So we just move on, or “So It Goes.”

April : Prom / King by Saba; I chose this since Saba talks about his prom experience and basically after school experiences. And it’s just a perfect song.

May : Over by Playboi Carti; I chose this track since our school year is now over.
