Junior year is one of the hardest years in high school. Pushing through the stress and difficulties can improve your Junior year. Getting through this year with a positive attitude and mindset can help yourself in life later on. Lizzie Reeves, Junior at Hughson High School is looking forward to an interesting year in High school. One of Lizzie’s classes that she is most interested in is TA Elementary. This class can help Lizzie to see if she would like to be a teacher or in the teaching curriculum. One class that Lizzie is not looking forward to is Anatomy. Lizzie states, “Anatomy is a really tough class to be in.” Anatomy is a tough subject especially when it comes to the tests and exams. Lizzie says, “One thing that is getting me through Junior year is my friends.” Friends are a good reason most people go to school. Friendship matters a lot, and hanging out with the right group can help you in life. When in Junior year, college is something to start thinking about. Lizzie responds by saying, “Junior year has changed my perspective on how college might be because I am taking AP classes which are helping me see what college may be like.” This is a good way of figuring out the difficulties college may have. One class that Lizzie says she is going to be focusing on is History. Lizzie adds, “History is a tough subject especially with all the work we are doing, focusing can help me succeed in that class.” Overall Lizzie is expecting a good year this year and is hoping to do her best.
Samantha Valdivia, Junior at Hughson High School, is looking forward to a fun year in High School. One of Samantha’s classes that she is the most interested in is Hospitality. Samantha says, “Hospitality is a very fun class to be in and it’s a class that I am looking forward to.” Hospitality seems like a very fun class according to Samantha. This can help her in a future job she is looking for or wants to attend. One class Samantha is not looking forward to is APUSH. Samantha responds by saying, “APUSH is a good class but all of the writing and work we do is a lot and can be stressful sometimes.” This class is an AP class which is a lot more challenging and can help her see what college may be like. Samantha adds on by saying, “I think college may be easier than High School.” Samantha is a very smart student; mentioning that college may be easier is something people normally don’t hear. One class that Samantha is going to focus on this year is AP accelerated. Samantha states, “I love math so being in this class is fun and gives me a challenge.” Overall, Samantha is looking forward to a fun year this year and is hoping for a fun life.
Natalie Merryman, Junior at Hughson High School, is looking forward to an interesting year in High School. One of Natalie’s classes that she is most excited about is TA Elementary. This can help her see if teaching is something she will be looking forward to in the future. One class that Natalie is not looking forward to is Math. Math is a tough subject, many complaints and stress have been due to math. Math is a subject where people learn different things each day, which can be difficult to understand. One thing that is getting Natalie through this year is her friends. Friends help a lot when having stress or something you need help with. Friendship is important and everyone needs someone to spend time with when times are hard. College is something Natalie is not really looking forward to. Natalie responds by saying, “Junior Year has not really changed my perspective on college yet because it just started, but I know it’s going to get harder.” College is something that is going to help us with our career and will end up getting harder. One class that Natalie is expecting the best is TA. Natalie adds on by saying, “I love my TA class and expect something like this in the future.” Overall, Natalie is looking forward to an exciting year and is hoping to get good grades this year.
