Husky in the Hot Seat – Mrs. McAndrews

For this Husky in the Hot Seat, Staff Writer, Alex Pearson, interviewed Hughson High Teacher, Amy McAndrews.

Alex Pearson: What do you like to do in your free time?

Mrs. McAndrews: I like to be with my family. I like to run, watch tv, and read.

 

Alex Pearson: What made you want to become a teacher?

Mrs. McAndrews: My dad was an awesome teacher and I saw how he made and impact on students’ lives, so I wanted to do the same thing

 

Alex Pearson: What are some things you don’t enjoy doing?

Mrs. McAndrews: Laundry, Grading essays, laundry, eating Brussel sprouts, and laundry

 

Alex Pearson: What has been your best Halloween costume? 

Mrs. McAndrews: Last year I was Ursula from the Little Mermaid.  I won the award for best villain. I looked awesome!

 

Alex Pearson: What is your favorite word saying?

Mrs. McAndrews: Life would be boring if it wasn’t busy.

 

Alex Pearson: If you had to have one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

Mrs. McAndrews: My mom’s chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.  Also chips and salsa

 

Alex Pearson: If you had any advice to give to your 18-year old self what would it be?

Mrs. McAndrews: Take good risks, study harder, date Mr. McAndrews sooner!

 

Alex Pearson: If you could instantly become a master at any skill what would it be?

Mrs. McAndrews: Singer and a musician.  I would love to be able to entertain audiences and perform any instrument at any time.  I love music.

 

Alex Pearson: What were your favorite things that you accomplished last year.

Mrs. McAndrews: Remodeled our house and went to the Grand Canyon
