FFA’s annual plant sale exceeded expectations once again leading to another successful year. The sale which took place from April 12th to April 13th gave Hughson High students the opportunity to showcase the plants they have been taking care of and growing since the beginning of the school year and then have the chance to sell them to the public.

The plants sold varied from fruit trees to herbs and were kept alive throughout the year by the floral and landscaping classes.

“The plant sale was a great success! The students of Hughson FFA worked very hard and their hard work paid off. We are thankful for the community of Hughson and their continuous support of Hughson FFA,” noted Ms. Schmidig, the adviser for this year’s sale.

The revenue from all of the plant sales is then given to the Hughson FFA program and then put towards projects that FFA students are working on.

The plants included: vegetable plants, fruit trees, succulents, and herbs. 

With over five years of success of plant selling, it’s a great fundraiser for gardeners or people that enjoy planting.
