On April 17th and 18th, Hughson High drama class held a showcase of their skills and talents in a program known as “The Best of the Best.” This showcase of students showed off the student’s abilities and consisted of acts such as skits, singing, play scenes, and other talents.

The evening event began with the women’s choir singing a rendition of “The Man I Love,” followed by  “Lip Sync” performed by Kinsey Langley and Jordan Mendes. The crowd was then entertained with “Pass it On” by David Brussow, Emily Herrera, Elizabeth Johannes, Holland Rolon, Conor McGill, and Tajanae Sumter.

“I caught a little bit of the show, and I thought they did a great job and it was amazing,” said Micah Fisher, a student of HHS.

With a lot of amazing acts, such as the singing of “Million Dreams” performed by Jace and Emily Fife, a rap battle between Brett Brumley and Trace Huber and the shows closing act, there was no shortage excitement for the audience.

“I thought we did a good job as performers and I would like to thank Mr. Thompson for letting us put on this show,” said Jace Fife, 10th grader and a performer in the Best of the Best.
