Interviews with Homecoming Royalty

This year, Hughson High School’s homecoming royalty were freshman Ashtin Brazil and junior Aolanie Rivera. Below are short interviews with this year’s homecoming princess and queen!

Ashtin Brazil – Homecoming Princess 

Sadie Padilla: What extracurriculars/clubs/sports are you in?

Ashtin Brazil: I am involved in volleyball, leadership, LOH, FFA, soccer, and student council.

 

Sadie Padilla: Do you have any hobbies or interests that are especially important to you?

Ashtin Brazil: I play travel volleyball and I love to bake.

 

Sadie Padilla: What are your plans beyond high school?

Ashtin Brazil: I would like to attend Cal Poly SLO University and major in psychology. Possibly play college volleyball there as well. 

 

Sadie Padilla: What do you do for fun?

Ashtin Brazil: I love to hang out with friends and I also love to just chill at home with my family. 

 

Sadie Padilla: What was your favorite part of homecoming?

Ashtin Brazil: My favorite part of homecoming was being able to come together with my class to create an awesome float. I also loved winning homecoming princess!

 

Sadie Padilla: Do you have any pets? And if not, do you want any?

Ashtin Brazil: I do not have any pets currently, but I would love to have a puppy. 

 

Aolanie Rivera – Homecoming Queen

Sadie Padilla: What extracurriculars/clubs/sports are you in?

Aolanie Rivera: I’m in FCA and I do drama, and I’m in basketball and track.

 

Sadie Padilla: Do you have any hobbies or interests that are especially important to you?

Aolanie Rivera: I love playing the piano and singing, and I really love performing. It’s one of my favorite things.

 

Sadie Padilla: What are your plans beyond high school?

Aolanie Rivera: I plan to go probably to a JC then go to Michigan State.

 

Sadie Padilla: What do you do for fun?

Aolanie Rivera: For fun, I mostly hang out with friends and family. I like to practice singing and playing the piano. 

 

Sadie Padilla: What was your favorite part of homecoming?

Aolanie Rivera: I think the dress-up days. They were like super fun, and getting people to dress up with you so you’re not the only one. 

 

Sadie Padilla: Do you have any pets? And if not, do you want any?

Aolanie Rivera: Yes, I have a dog. Her name’s Ellie, and she’s such a little fluffball and she’s so cute.
