Pack Time Usage For Sick Days

Matthew Richardson, Opinion Writer

We all have had those days where we end up missing a test over a sick day, doctor appointment, or even just unfortunate circumstances. It clearly is a bad idea to let that sort of hole exist in your grades. Like me, you probably don’t have an easy schedule to go and make these up before/after school either. However, there is a solution to this, and it is all thanks and part to our good Tuesday/Thursday semi-period, PACK Time. In fact, one of the most common uses for PACK Time is makeup tests and work. Sometimes, this creates dilemmas where you don’t have enough PACK time(s) left to finish any work you may have. In this case, try to seek time after or before school to meet with the teacher and work out your schedule around this early/late arrival or departure. Dealing with the PACK time, all you need to do is sign up for that particular class for PACK time, and attend the period. You probably can tell the teacher what you wish to do, and then simply complete your test there! In the end, just take whatever time you need to complete the tests you missed, and be sure to get it done in a timely fashion.
