Hughson High and all its supporters have experienced great sports games in September, Here’s a recap of everything sports related last month.

Starting off with football, On the 2nd of September, the Hughson Huskies were at the Argonaut Mustangs. The Huskies won 52-13. They threw for 122 yards, ran for 288 yards, and had 43 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 1 fumble recovery.

On the 9th, the Huskies were at home against the Summerville Bears. The Huskies fell short on their first and only loss in September, 14-23. Huskies threw for 158 yards and a touchdown. They ran for 135 yards and a touchdown. On defense they had 41 tackles.

On the 16th, The Huskies faced their rivals, the Escalon Cougars. They won 29-14 against them. They threw for 281 yards and 2 touchdowns. They ran for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns. On defense they had 50 tackles and 3 interceptions.

On the 23rd, the Hughson Huskies beat the Livingston Wolves, 41-20. Huskies threw for 167 yards and 5 touchdowns. They ran for 209 yards and a touchdown. On defense they had 72 tackles, and 1 fumble recovery.

The last game of the month was on the 29th. The Huskies were at Modesto Christian, and the Huskies won 48-12. They threw for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns, and ran for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns. On defense 60 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 interceptions, and 1 fumble recovery.

Next up is girls volleyball. The first game of the month was on the first and was against Central Valley. They won 3 sets to none, First set was 25-19, Second set was 25-8, Third set was 25-12.

The next game was on the 7th and was against Riverbank. They again won all three sets, 1st set was 25-14, 2nd was 25-17, and 3rd was 25-15.

The 3rd game of the month was only a day after the last, the 8th. They won all three sets against Modesto Christian, 1st was 25-5, 2nd was 25-8, and the 3rd was 25-2.

The next games were apart of a tournament. The first game they won by 2 sets to none, The 2nd game they lost 2-0, the 3rd another loss 2-1, and they won the next 4 tournament games.

On the 12th they played Hilmar and won 3 sets to none. Huskies won 25-17, 25-23 , 25-19.

On the 13th Huskies were at Enochs and lost 3 sets to 1. They lost the first set 15-25, won by 27-25, lost by 12-25, and lost by 27-29.

On the 14th they played Ceres High and won 3 sets to none, 1st was 25-15, 2nd was 25-14, and the 3rd one was 25-10.

On the 19th the Huskies lost to Ripon, 1-3. 1st set huskies won 25-20, 2nd set Ripon won 25-21, 3rd set Ripon won 25-18, and 4th set Ripon won 25-14.

The next game was on the 21st and was against Escalon. Huskies lost 3 sets to none, 1st was 19-25, 2nd was 14-25,and the 3rd was 22-25.

On the 26th, Huskies beat Livingston 3 sets to none. 1st was 25-15, 2nd was 25-5, and the 3rd one was 25-10.

The last game of the month for volleyball was on 28th and was against Modesto Christian. Huskies won 3 sets to none, 1st was 25-5, 2nd was 25-6, and the 3rd was 25-5.
