Johnny Martinez, Staff Writer

Johnny Martinez- What is your role at HHS?

Zechariah Garza- I am a MultiMedia Technician/Librarian. I help students get their books, Chromebooks, as well as helping with any difficulties students may have with their devices. I also oversee the Study Hall kids as well.

Johnny Martinez- How old are you?

Zechariah Garza- I’m 23.

Johnny Martinez- How big is your family?

Zechariah Garza- I have a big family. I’m the oldest of five. Four have already attended HHS.

Johnny Martinez- Where did you grow up?

Zechariah Garza- Hughson has been my family’s stopping grounds for the last five generations. It is pretty cool to live on a farm only five minutes from work. I am extremely blessed to have been raised in such a great community with such great values.

Johnny Martinez- Do you have any dream jobs?

Zechariah Garza- This is an interesting question. I wouldn’t call it a dream but my “goal” Is to finish up a Masters Degree in the near future and then hopefully get my Doctorate in Education from Stan State in hopes to work within HUSD, or a nearby college.

Johnny Martinez- What do you like to do in your spare time?

Zechariah Garza- There are many things that I thoroughly enjoy doing in my spare time. I love writing articles for the Hughson Chronicle, I am a huge fitness enthusiast, love doing the Football Scoreboard every Friday night, as well as being involved  in the baseball program here at Hughson High.

Johnny Martinez- How has HHS been treating you so far?

Zechariah Garza- I really am enjoying HHS. The teachers are great and I love the kids. Everyone is very supportive and creates a great work environment.
