October Sporting Events Wrap-Up

October had a lot of great sporting events, moments, and performances, so let’s recap all of them. First up is Hughson Huskies varsity football.

The first game of the month was on the 7th and they played Modesto Christian. Huskies won 35-6, passed for 90 yards ,and 2 touchdowns, ran for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns. On defense they had 27 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 1 interception.

` The second game was on the 14th and the Huskies were defeated 26-49.Huskies passed for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns. They ran for 141 yards and a touchdown. On defense they had 42 tackles and a fumble recovery.

The third and final game of the month for football was against Ripon and Huskies won 21-19. Huskies threw for 122 yards, ran for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns. On defense they had 44 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery.

Now moving on from football next is volleyball. The first game of the month was on the 3rd and was against Riverbank. Huskies won 3 sets to none and the scores were 25/4,25/5,25/5.

The second game of the month was against Hilmar and it was on the 5th. The Huskies were defeated 3 sets to 2. The first was 21-25, 2nd 25-5, 3rd was 25-22, 4th 20-25, and the last was 21-23.

Next Volleyball game was on the 12th and at Ripon, Huskies lost 3 sets to none. 1st was 8-25, 2nd 16-25, and 3rd was 13-25.

The 4th game of the month was on the 17th, at home, and against Escalon. They lost 3 sets to none and the scores were, 19-25,19-25,18-25.

The next game of the month was on the 19th at Livingston, Huskies came back and won 3 sets to none. Scores were 25-6,25-13, and 25-21.

The next game was the first playoff game and took place on the 25th and was against Woodland. Huskies won 3 sets to none and the scores were 25-19,25-14,25-8.

However the next game didn’t fare as well for the Huskies. The next playoff game was at Ripon and was on the 27th. Huskies lost 3 sets to 1 and the scores were 25-27,27-25,18-25, and 24-26.
