As many of you know Hughson Husky students have the day off on Friday, due to the Veterans Day holiday. As some HHS students know we have our very own military Veteran who is now our school security, Julian.

Julian Padilla served in the Military for about  4 years and 4 months. He was in the Marine Corps branch. His Boot Camp training was done in San Diego California. Julian said that The attack of 9/11 made him want to Join the Marine Corps. Julian also said “don’t take boot camp personally” if you are wanting to join any branch of the Military.

Though Julian was only 17 years old when he Joined the Marine Corps he did serve in some well known wars, including the Afghanistan and the Iraq Wars. Julian explains “My time served in the Military was good but my experience wasn’t like everybody else’s”.

Julian is currently one of Hughson High Schools School Security. Though it is a very different change in professions the Huskies are very lucky to have Julian as Campus Security Guard. With that being Said The Hughson Paw Editors and Staff Thank Julian and Any other Veteran who also Served for their devoted time and service in the Military. Happy Veterans day!
