As the 2022-2023 school year comes to an end, HHS Paw has had the pleasure of producing weekly articles for the public. From sports events, acknowledging the Hughson Community, movie reviews, history, opinionated pieces and more. This is a recap of the year!

August 2022 – Several new teachers join Hughson High. Students begin to adapt to a new schedule with school beginning at 8:30. Pack time makes a return at Hughson High School 

September 2022– A heat wave strikes the area and HHS tries to adapt to it. Homecoming makes a return to HHS after a decade. HHS students work on homecoming floats. HHS Ag Department has their annual Pulled Pork Dinner. HHS host’s their yearly college fair. HYLC hosts their first car wash of the year. HHS commemorates 9/11 in their halftime show at their football game. HHS Band prepares for homecoming. Custodian J Dean is voted as the Grand Marshall for homecoming. Community celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

October 2022 –  HHS celebrates Red Ribbon Week. Introducing the first Haunted House at HHS, HHS hosts their second fall festival, PSATs, Powderpuff, SATs, 

November 2022 – Seniors begin college hunting, HHS celebrates Veterans day and a week off for Thanksgiving break, Huskies attend Career Inspiration Center field trip. Football Playoffs

December 2022 – Hughson hosts “Pictures with Santa” and annual “Toys for Tots”. HHS takes first semester finals and enters winter break. Winter wishes. College Application workshop. Football Regional Championship. Mr.Husky. HHS ‘Las Posadas’ . Attendance awards

January 2023 – HHS Ag hosts first dinner of the second semester, Hoopscoming week, Wizard of Oz performance

February 2023 – Kindness week, ELPAC testing, ASB Elections, Schedule Balloting, Presidents Holiday Weekend

March 2023 – Inspire You Month, Welcome to the Pack, Prom, Band and Choir to Disneyland, iReady testing

April 2023 – Taste of Hughson, Spring Break, Senior Portfolio grading, SBAC testing, Career Day, Blood Drive

May 2023 – AP testing, Night of the Arts, Wellness Week, Teacher Appreciation week, Spring Rally, Senior Finals, Senior Grad Night at Disneyland, Senior Grad walk, Senior Grateful Graduates, Finals week (minimum days), HHS Graduation
