Following up on last week’s Pet of the Week, we have this week’s adorable animal — Honey the cat!

Honey was adopted into my family in 2023 after her previous owner had to give her up due to moving. Although shy at first, she warmed up to her new family very quickly. I’ll never forget when she plopped over on her side for pets not even an hour after meeting me. She’s so sweet that even dog lovers like her! Honey always seems to know when someone is sad, and when they are, she makes sure to curl up beside them until they feel better.

Now for some cute, fun, and quirky facts about Honey! She has a little freckle on the side of her nose, and when she was adopted, she already had a clipped ear. Despite the reputation cats have for hating belly rubs, Honey loves them! She’s also very insistent on sleeping next to someone — or next to her favorite stuffed animal, Elly — every night. Honey has earned quite a reputation for being calm and polite. She never invades anyone’s space and has never bitten or scratched anyone in all the time I’ve owned her.
