This past Sunday the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers played each other. The Rams won the game 21-20. While both teams were guaranteed playoff locks and the 49ers have the 1 seed they didn’t play starters on either team. The Rams had 258 total offensive yards to the Niners 300. Quarterback Carson Wentz was the game MVP for the Rams with two touchdowns, 163 passing yards, and 56 rushing yards. Rookie Wide Receiver Puka Nacua also broke the rookie receiving record in this game as well.
Also on Sunday the rams finally snapped their 9 game losing streak to the niners and had not beaten them since 2018 in the regular season. As the Niners would throw for 175 yards and rush for 125 yards for a total of 300 offensive yards. The niners would also get 3 sacks and force 3 punts as well. What cost the niners the game was the missed kick by the 49ers kicker and then the heartbreaking fumble on the 49ers last drive of the game turning it over to the defense. Despite losing the 49ers are still the 1 seed and will get a bye week during playoffs.
